Cutting the penalty rates on Sunday is a big disappointment to so many people who work on Sundays. You miss out on seeing family and friends to do this shift and alot of people rely on it to get by.

  • I don’t think it will increase jobs as much people are predicting. If businesses employ more people it means more costs such as Workcover, Payroll Tax ad compulsory superannuation contributions.

  • Yep. And apparently now it’s been approved for some work sectors, they say to expect it to pop up in a lot more. It would be hard fir the workers. I just hope the employers do what they say they’ll do with the money they’ll save from this and create more jobs

    • It will indeed be hard for workers to readjust their budgets with the loss of income/wages. Interesting – I cannot recall recent cuts to politicians wages?
