After my son was born 14 months ago I had the mirena inserted at my 6 week check up by my ob. I was not given any information about it and have recently found out I was miscarrying 
the news devistated my partner and I! Yes I know the mirena is there as a contraceptive however to know that we had potentially another child coming into the world absolutely breaks our heart. I just wish I was given more information about the effectiveness as now it seems a lot of people have had the same happen to them. Please spread the word to let more people know the effectiveness of this contraceptive!
