Hello!

I looked on line at a computer store (don’t really know if its appropriate to share the name).
I made my choice of a lap top, I liked the product and the price. It was available on line with free pick up from the store. I went into the store to buy it and it was $30 dearer for the one that they had in stock. When I asked why they told me that it was delivery…. I told them If i ordered online I would get free delivery, they told me to order it online…..so RUDE!!!

  • My experience is that the store will match the price. Otherwise go someone else.

  • Most store when questions about things like that would just match the price. You would think that with all the competition they would do what they can to keep their customers happy!

  • I would have walked out and tried to find same or similar laptop elsewhere. I would also have put in a complaint.

  • Did they really?, I think I would have walked out and tried to find same or similar laptop elsewhere. They’re in customer service fir heavens sake, there’s no need to be rude, it’s their job to be polite and helpful!

  • I hope you put a complaint with the head office, that is plain rude.

  • It seems to be the trend shops are taking. So much cheaper buying things online.

  • Not only would I then not purchase it, but I would ensure to complain to head office.

  • Yep, can’t get good customer service these days! And they wonder why bricks and mortar shops are struggling…..

  • always worth shopping around! My parents taught me this from a young age

  • I certainly hope that not only did you not purchase it in-store but that you also didn’t give them a sale via their on-line store. Absolutely horrendous treatment of a potential customer especially considering these are what are consider as big sales by most stores. It probably would not hurt to share this information with their customer service department, often they allow you to address it online with a form.

  • They should have definately matched the price.
    That is very wrong!

  • I did have a store price match and even better the online price on a product, however a friend that went to the same store and was served by someone else a week later was told no and was treated quite rudely. Peculiar and unfortunately they lost a customer and a good sale!

  • WTF? That is just plain rude and stupid!

  • Often they will price match in stores if you tell them. Bit silly for them to say that as they may have lost a customer.

  • How very strange. Usually stores will match their online prices.

  • Some businesses will do that, but some will price match.

  • I hope you told them where to go, with service like that no wonder a lot of people order things online and not bother with the stores anymore. You would think they would of dropped the price as picking it up in store is not a delivery. I would be tepted to ring the head office and put in a complaint.

  • I would ask to speak to the manager and if they could not resolve it,take my business else where.

  • maybe complain on social media. they will sort it
