Hello!

Feeling very excited at the moment as new plans and renovations are being drawn up for our home at the moment. Can’t help feeling a little overwhelmed too and the enormity of the job ahead of us – but it was a decision that needed to be made (considering the family is getting bigger and the house seems to be getting smaller!!) As we nervously plan, I can’t help but cross my fingers and toes that everything goes smoothly and as quickly as possible (as all i seem to hear are horror stories about building and renovating!) If any one has any tips about keeping things are normal as possible would love to hear them! Until then, am super excited!! :-)

  • My husband knocked down our bathroom walls and then had to go away for work for 3 months!

  • You’re so going to love the new house when all the renovations are finished. It will be a bit like childbirth, in that once it’s over, you’ll forget the awful bits and enjoy the new stage of your life. To make things easier, if you’re putting things in boxes to get them out of the way during renovations, clearly label every box with the room it’s from & a rough idea of what’s in the box. You’ll be so thankful that you did, when it comes to unpacking, or if you’re looking for something while it’s packed away. Good luck!

  • Having just gone through it, I can say it’s not that bad I reckon the worse for me was paying for the kitchen cupboards and waiting for the tradesmen to do the power and plumbing. Good luck :) when it is done you will not look back
