Hello!

I only have a small amount of friends. I would say I have 4 that I have anything to do with. I had more and only recently really stopped being contacted after they broke up with their partner. I called, sent messages on facebook, text her and only ever got 1 or 2 responses. She doesn’t call or anything anymore and I have given up trying. I think as we grow up and start a family we move on..I lost contact with people over the years when I got married and more and more as I started having kids.

Maybe you could go and join a mothers group and meet some other mums to spend some time with. Or if your children are old enough, the mums at their school. I have a couple of friends I met through school/daycare. I wish you all the best

  • Sometimes when friends get married and have children sometimes they become so involved in their kids school and sports activities they have little time for socialising with others ftrom their prior routine.

  • It’s true we do lose contact with some people over the years, grow apart, move in different circles, different priorities.

  • Yes you are correct. People change, people have kids and settle down and life gets busy as well. I always say true friends are the ones you can see after 10 years and still feel just as close too as the ones that in your everyday life. Saying that some can just change and you no longer have a connection.
