Risks on the road. - Real Mum story on MoM

Everytime we hope in our car and head out we are taking a risk. Yesterday I was lucky, very lucky but unfortunately so many people are not. I was driving along a highway and a truck was losing some rubble, that I hadn’t noticed as I had just entered the highway. Not long on the highway and rubble hit the front of my car. I freaked out, got details and stopped the car. I was so so so lucky that all there was in terms of damage was a scrape at the front of the car. This could have been so much worse which is what has upset me more then anything. The company we contacted over this will not take responsibility which is very disappointing as we all need to be responsible for safety on the roads, and traveling with your load uncovered is risking other peoples lives. We all need to remember that when we drive our actions can put others at risk. Be mindful.

So true. Too often, it’s not us we have to worry about being careful on the roads, it’s other idiots!

Maybe you should of taking a photo on your phone if you had one and report it to the police. There are some very crazy people on the rds.

I see some down right terrifying things on the road. The problem is those doing the bad driving are convinced in their own minds that they can do no wrong. Until they kill someone, there seems to be nothing anyone can do or say to change this attitude.
