Hello!

Big sympathy to all the mums and families in SA that have endured the blackouts. Must be so tough and uncomfortable with the hot weather. Hope it improves for those impacted soon.

  • The situation is now going to be worse because of coal powered power stations being shut down. Only a few days ago we had a fire a few minutes later with an explosion at our Torrens Island Power Station. Fortunately they were able to fire up extra generators at another power station. SA and Vic. are connected via a special “grid”. Vic. was talking about shutting down some lines for maintenance which meant that parts of Adelaide would have had what they call “brown outs”. Sometimes an area is shut down, reinstated and another area shut down.

  • I hope everyone is staying cool and hydrated. It has been quite a challenge in many places in Australia.

  • I suspect we may all experience things like that, if we don’t improve infrastructure to cope with changing weather soon.

    • We do need to look at our infrastructure and have contingency plans too.
