  • If you can afford to do it then i would say go for it.

  • I have just moved from a bigger home to a smaller home. If you are happy with the home you are in and it is in a great area for schools etc…. stay put. Bigger house just means you buy more stuff to fill it.

  • Peace of mind is the most important thing. If you can manage, it would be a great investment. If money will be too tight, life won’t be much fun and you will stress alot. Do your sums and see what you answer is.

  • I gather that you mean you would rent your current home out when you buy a larger home? If you’re both working, and you have sat down & really worked out the finances, then go for it. But if you don’t have children yet, and you’re planning to, will you be able to afford the costs involved with two homes, if you give up work? Do a lot of research before you commit.
