Hello!

Goodness me, just as well I looked around the side of the house, (to bring in my kids bikes under cover just in case it rains)..

My three & a half year old son had rammed his bike into the front fence, dislodging two old fence palings (about 15 years old) from the side gate (which is padlocked shut). A gaping hole was in it’s place where he could have easily slipped through!

We live quite close to the road, & a tempting playground 6 doors away.

So lucky my husband was home to swing a hammer & nail it back into place (he is set to go overseas soon), I was thinking how well I could have secured it myself?

I have learnt a really important lesson, to check the perimeters of the house & make sure they are secure.

I told him off, & said we were lucky a big dog didn’t get through onto the property & bite him! A bit of a close call.
