My 5 year old granddaughter phoned me early this afternoon to wish me a Happy New Year but warned me to stay indoors because there is going to be bombs in the sky tonight. I explained that they are just colourful firework to celebrate the New Year but she insisted that they will still scare her so I have promised her I will give her a phone call after we see the first display to reassure I’m fine. Hope I can get through at 9.00pm! God Bless her!

I was able to phone her just after 9.00pm & she felt reassured that I was safe. It is sad that a child so young & innocent fears for the safety for the people she loves & lives with the fear of bad things happening because she hears the news updates. My wish for 2015 is that we can all live in peace & protect our precious little people from any further pain & upset.
