My 5 year old grandson was visiting and as it was a hot day I said “Dylan you need a drink of water as it is very hot”.
He answered ” that’s OK grandma I had watermelon and there is water in that”.
What could I say they know so much

I would have given him some more watermelon, just to make sure he want becoming dehydrated. The little smarty pants lol

Very clever little boy. Vitamins and antioxidants too, so watermelon is a great substitute.

Kids nowadays come up with clever and logic answers straightaway. It sometime amaze me all the things my 4 year olds would say and how quick her answers comes too. It still takes me a while to answer peoples questions, that’s the beauty of being a child isn’t it?

Living in the NT we have to make sure our kids a re hydrated all the time! My best investment was a fridge with a drink dispenser so the kids can help themselves to nice cold water all day long!

haha cheeky! they are so quick witted! My 7 year old told me a little while ago that he didnt like what i cooked for dinner, then proceeded to tell me he won’t be eating it and not to worry because he just learnt at school that you can survive weeks without food, as long as he drinks plenty of water he will be fine to skip dinner!
……………..he still at his dinner lol. Mum wins!
