Hello!

The dreaded day is looming. In just a few weeks, I will returning to work.

I find myself stopping think about how much difference a year makes. This time last year it was just hubby and I- going to work and each day, going wherever we wanted, when we wanted.

Things are so different now. Hubby lost his job just before baby was born, but we managed to use the payout to fund a little home computer business. When I go back to work, he will become a stay at home dad. It is exciting abd scary at the same time. He has gone from someone that didn’t know where the tea towels were and had never held a baby to ‘super dad’. He bottle feeds bub twice a day, changes nappies-includingvtge occasional number 2! Our daughter just ADORES him. Not to mention he vaacumes, does dishes and washing.

Only problem we face is the occasional ridicule he gets from the ‘manly’ friends amd family. He has been riduculed for doing a woman’s work and says that it doesn’t affect him. But I think it does a bit. I just remind him that I have a permanent job and he has skills to run a part time home business. We are doing what works and what is best for bub. I am very proud of how far we have come in a year.

We have taken some rough days in our stride. Made some big decisions. Gone from a dual income couple, to a single income family with our own business.

Hopefully I won’t miss bub too much every day, least I know she is with her daddy.
