Hello!

Today my husband come home and wouldn’t stop picking at every little thing I had done all day, be it the dishes, washing or the kids. I began to get so frustrated as I finished off doing everything I normally do it hit me, I do the same thing to him! Why do we do it though is it the struggle of watching someone else do what you normally do, am I set in my own ways. At this young age I certainly hope not. I will try and make more of an effort to accept help with out judgement. Just wish I figured this out earlier :)

  • I thinks it’s just human nature to accidentally think that way and we all want to be the masters of our own jobs. You are clearly very insightful and have realised that this is what you both do and the fact that you want to make an effort to not do it as much is awesome. I know it does drive a lot of ladies crazy watching their spouses do things upside down compared to how they would do it themselves. I know myself I used to become frustrated when I would just be cleaning the kitchen and cooking dinner and my partner would be trying to make a snack over the top of me.

  • I do believe in time you except other people have different ways of doing things After many surgeries my house and house keeping would be a shambles if it was not for my hubby, eg you are not supposed to carry a washing basket or stretch up to the cloths line, hubby would carry then hang the washing , ok it was not the same way I hang them but at-least they are hung and in the end the result is the same DRY FRESH AIRED CLOTHS.

  • I do things like get hubby to hang out the washing but never look after he has done it as I know I will rehang everything so I give him things to do that I do not have to look at but mopping the floors is his job just wish he would sweep them first….never get everything we want :)

  • It is so hard sometimes especially when it is part of our routine. Drives me nuts watching my husband do things sometimes but I’ve learnt to just leave him to it and do something else.

    • I am thrilled when other people do things!

  • Its true, I’m hopeless with wanting things done my way in the kitchen. I have to remind myself to let my husband do things his way too.
