Hello!

I wish that when I was pregnant more of my Mummy friends had explained a bit more as to how those first few months of being a Mummy may be like. Everyone told me “oh the sleep deprevation, get used to no sleep”. I was expecting to not get much sleep but I didn’t know the effects of having no sleep!! I felt like I was the worst Mummy in the world – crying, screaming, inconsolable and that was just me. Until one of my Mummy friends took me for a walk on the beach and told me how she was in the first 3 months, I thought I was just not built to be a Mummy. The relief when I discovered the other Mummies do sometimes find those first 3 months a HUGE struggle!! Now 8 months since the birth of my beautiful boy, I know I am an awesome Mummy and love my little man to pieces – he is my world :-)

  • It’s an emotional roller coaster having a baby.

  • The first child hits you like a tonne of bricks, after all you have never had a baby and all of a sudden this beautiful little baby is all yours. Things can be scary, wonderful and most of all patience can run thin on no sleep. But you did it.
