Hello!

I am a mother of three my youngest is 31 months old we live half hour from town and are always in the car taking my girls to and from town for school, sport, tudoring and other commitments. He still has a day sleep through the week but on weekends and holidays when the girls are home he does not and since daylight savings he has not been able to stay awake past 6pm. Although he is then waking up around 9pm and not going back to sleep till about 1am and I am going insane. I have tried waking him without any luck. I have never had this problem with my girls. I seriously need some help.

  • Possibly his body clock is out of whack. I know a little one who started waking up at night. You could almost set the clock by her. They took her to the Dr. but he could find anything with her. The Dr. prescribed some special drops that she had to have a set time each night. As soon as she started to sleep at night they weaned her off them. They didn’t wait until the Dr’s suggested timeline.

  • Only advice I can give us to try and adjust his sleeping patterns. Eg keep him awake for as long as possible, no matter how hard it gets or how grumpy he gets. Maybe wake him earlier in the mornings so he’s more tired at night time. It may take some time, mand it won’t be easy, but you can try
