I just wanted to say that my teenagers and I love watching the travel guides show on channel 9. It is so funny and great for family viewing. it promotes a lot of conversation particularly about the countries they are visiting as well as the funny families on the show. It has really captured the people and their personalities as all groups are different. A set of twins from far north who have done no travelling what so ever, 2x families of 4, which have great banter and make you laugh, an older couple who think they are experienced travellers and seriously are not it is hilarious as they are trying to be so snobby, and this young couple who are backpackers. I would recommend if you want some light entertainment and looking for a holiday destination!

  • I enjoy the show too and one of the families is from my home town so that makes it even more interesting.

  • My teenagers like watching this show too……better than some of the trashy tv on atm. Love seeing the holiday destinations and how other cultures live.

    • Yes, there is a lot of trash on TV – plenty of violence in series, movies and news – very rarely good news on TV News or Current Affair Programs. Sometimes reports on TV news and print media aren’t correct at all or edited and reported out of context.

  • It does give you a lot of insight into countries and cultures that you know little about and I do love the funny and light hearted way the show goes about it.
I had know idea Oman was so relaxed with dress etc …I thought women would have to cover heads but I was mistaken.

  • It is a fun and light hearted show and I enjoy it too. It sparks the interest in doing more in depth research into some of these destinations and countries.

    • The Outback women and the Backpackers are my favourites on the show. The Backpackers in particular have such a good attitude towards every place they go to – they seem open to all new experiences.
