Trying to hard to please - Real Mum story on MoM

After reading an article on MOMs today about a mother standing up to her children when shopping, it made me realise how I try to hard to please other including my children and after an accident on our first holiday in 14 years I have made a new rule in our house no carrying on like a pork chop! I told my children that they have to start and accept things as they are as otherwise people get hurt or accidents happen. I have also decided that I will no longer go out of my way to make my children happy all the time as this will not happen in the real world. This is not saying that I do not teach my children rules etc its just that I always seem to go out of my way to make them happy. Things have changed after a trip to hospital via coast gaurd and a night in hospital etc etc, now it is time for a little more reality than before for my kids Mummy can not always make things happen or make you happy!

Most of the time they are happy again in 5 minutes, pleasing everyone wears you down. For only what can be only a few minutes of disappointment!
