Earlier this year my husband booked some annual leave. Two weeks including one week of school holidays. We made the decision to go on a holiday. With young four children (5,3,3,1) it was not a decision made lightly.
We opted for somewhere not too far from home so that we didn’t have to travel and contend with fighting kids and found a caravan park with self contained chalets about one and a half hours drive away. Perfect! Six nights all booked in.
Our holiday was great, the kids had a ball and I think we made some good memories. Six nights was a bit much, we think four would have been better for our first holiday, but we were lucky with weather and the location was brilliant. The chalet was exactly what we needed too. We were right near the beach too which was great for the kids, a real novelty.
Our first family holiday was a success and I am hoping to go to the same place again at the same time next year.
