I just read an article on Wendy Lydall, who boasts of convincing hundreds of parents not to vaccinate.
Why?
If a parent is so foolish as to refuse to protect their child, let the relevant authorities deal with it, but why go out of her way to convince vunerable, gulliable people to follow in her misguided footsteps?
I know there is a huge amount of controversy over the whole vaccination issue, but surely this sort of behaviour should be stopped. I can understand if there is a genuine medical reason not to immunise a child, but telling people “whooping cough is a breeze and just an excuse to get out of school?”
I would love to see her try to explain that to parents in ICU watching their baby struggle to breath.
So please, if you are confused or unsure about the benefits/risks of vaccination, use your brains. Do your own research, ask medical professionals, but do not listen to half baked conspiracy theories!
(Sorry, it just makes me so cross, and makes me feel so helpless when I read about these awful people)
