Hello!

I have just seen this TV program toddlers and tiaras and wondered why do parents do this? And who would let their children do this?? It seems so wrong on so many levels.

None of the kids really either know what exactly is going on as they are under 3, or really want to do it as they seem to be always having a tantrum or sulking.

The kids are all fed copious amount of fizzy drinks and sugar (by their parents) to help them perform on the stage. I think this is really for the mums rather than the kids. There are cash prizes along with toys, money and revolting crowns and medals. But is it all worth it? What about the well being of the child? This seems to be ok to do it in America! But what is happening to these kids long term? Am I missing something? Does anyone agree with them?? I just can see any positives at all.

  • I agree, it is horrible and should be illegal (especially as child labour under CRoC). The parents are selfish and see children as accessories, not people.

  • I am always stunned by the length some parents will go to

  • Let’s kids be kids. Too much, to soon.

  • It makes me wonder what those toddlers and mums will be like in a few years when the kids aren’t in the limelight and the mums can’t have the glory. How will they cope without people fussing over them?
