Why do mothers always know best? - Real Mum story on MoM

My mother is visiting at the moment. I love her dearly and she is terrific with the grandkids… but… why does she always have to suggest other ways of doing things when we are happy with the way we do stuff! We aren’t perfect, we make mistakes but we love our baby girl and we do everything we can to make her happy. Our little girl is a tiny baby and as such, we closely follow what the nurses/doctor says we should do and its working. Then mum comes along and says we should be doing it another way! Its very confusing and puts doubts in my mind that maybe I could be doing better. Do mothers really know best? Will I turn into my mother in another 30 years and this be my daughter complaining about me!

That would drive me batty. In some ways, I’m glad I was nowhere near home when I had my babies. Although it probably would have made no difference cos she wouldn’t have said anything anyway

Mothers don’t always know best but , some of their ideas are pretty good!
