my husband never has time off work except the public holidays. this year we used some of his long service as he doesnt get paid annual leave. it has been so nice to spend time together as a family as we have never had a holiday. the kids love all of us playing games and going on small outings. i always complained about not having much money but now have realised that as long as there is food and money for rent and bills that really there is nothing else that matters. family time is so special and life is so short. i hope everyone is having a great holiday like me no matter what situation!

Any time spent with family is an escape from the humdrum of everyday life, work stresses and other obligations. You can always go to a park, watch a movie together, drive to a national park, bushwalk or picnic, visit the beach….thank you for your words of wisdom. Makes us stop and think about what truly matters.
