We introduce to you the tampon-shaped speaker that helps your unborn baby listen to music.

The ‘Baby-pod’ is inserted into the vagina and stimulates neural development in the fetus through music, shares Yahoo Lifestyle.

It’s inserted the same way you would a tampon, then you attach the audio cord to your ipod or phone.

The response to the product is quite mixed.

“You can also put headphones on your belly. Mums have been doing this for years!”

“But why? we already know they can hear through the belly. Just seems a pointless infection risk.”

“Stupid idea and another risk of infection. Babies can hear in utero through the abdomen. They do not need some device put into vagina.”

“Why? I thought babies could hear their mothers voice from inside the womb anyway. Are we trying to deafen babies before they are even born?!”

“Pretty sure they can hear music without the need to shove a speaker up your bits..”

Some even suggesting it was just cruel!

“I honestly think this is cruel like how do you know the baby wants to hear the music??”

  • Babies can hear noises and music without having to put anything up anywhere! This is the most ridiculous thing

    • It stunned me and I have so many questions about safety and so on.

  • Do they de-contaminate the microphone first? Do they want baby to kick and move his/her arms around even more?. Play music you listen to at the same time if you want to but don’t deafen your baby before arrival into the world

  • No thanks!!

  • Why? I used the iPad on my tummy. My babies would move towards the music, and were both born with a love of the imperial march, and I didn’t need to risk electric shock in doing so!

  • This such a scam. Playing your unborn music has no basis in science

  • I am truly stunned by this speaker – nope!

  • Seriously what will they think of next

  • Oh no. Not for me. I had indeed headphones for my belly. I would never use a vaginal headphone!

  • So funny! Pretty sure the babies learn enough in the uterus already, we don’t need baby’s to instantly become baby Einstein’s as soon as they come into the world lol.
