Did you overindulge yesterday on all the Christmas festivities?  Are you feeling that serious Christmas bloat that can take over any of us after such an event?  These top tip from an expert for a healthier diet will help you feeling fantastic for 2016.

According to the DailyMail, the good news is you don’t need to starve yourself or embark on an intimidating juice diet. One of the world’s favourite A-lister’s health gurus has shared his tips for beating the bloat in just four days – just in time for 2016!

Russell Bateman, founder of the Skinny B**** Collective – an elite workout class that supermodels and A-listers credit with keeping them trim – has divulged his best-kept party season secrets. Russell has worked with names such as, Millie Mackintosh, Nicole Scherzinger, Laura Whitmore, Florence Welch and Ellie Goulding – there are rumours that the One Direction boys are also fans of his health regime.

Russell spoke recently with the DailyMail and shared his fool-proof tips for loosing the Christmas bloat and starting 2016 feeling great.

“When your digestive system is unable to break down certain foods properly, the food sits in your gut and causes gas and stomach distension,”  Russell said, “bloating can be beaten but it’s essential that you understand what is causing you to grow your gut like Santa.”

Russell recommends cleaning up your gut by firstly changing what you consume:

“If you’d like to clean up your gut to see just how amazing you can look and feel, try making these foods and beverages a habit: lots of water, fermented vegetables like Sauerkraut, Kombucha and kefir.”

He also suggests taking Aloe Vera and l- glutamine supplements, bulking up the amount of fibre in your diet and brewing some bone broth.  Adding lots of cucumber to your diet and adding a probiotic supplement can also help to strengthen your immune system and ensure your stomach is digesting properly.

Russell told the DailyMail that if you change your diet to include all of these things and create a focused meal plan to help you do this, you will be feeling fantastic for the start of 2016!
