Uber Driver Drives Down Staircase With Luxury Car

Most of us walk down the stairs, but this Uber driver found a very unconventional way of tackling a staircase – with his car.

Early on Monday morning, it was reported that an Uber driver had made a very good attempt of driving down a set of stairs in Bondi Beach in Sydney.

The Police received a call that the black Audi was perched at the top of a set of stairs leading down to a shopping complex on Hall Street.

It was supposedly a mega lapse of judgement that landed the driver in this unfortunate pickle. He had confused the entry to the stairs as a driveway and it was a bit too late by the time he realised his error.

“All the wheels were off the floor so he couldn’t reverse. He was just flustered,” witness Oscar Fowler told 9 News.

A NSW police spokesperson said the driver was not injured and there were no other passengers in the car at the time of the incident, as reported in news.com.au.

The car remained on top of the stairs until a tow truck took it away.

The police have confirmed that no charges would be laid against the driver.

Super embarrassing for the driver. Lucky there was nobody on the escalator too. It would have stopped suddenly and no doubt somebody would been injured. I’m surprised the Police didn’t charge him though. Not only is the underneath of the car damaged towing fees are expensive.
