Mrs Mombastic shared on Facebook the hilarious reason why she loves a good game of hide and seek with the kids.

Her post has soon gained attention with nearly 200 shares.

She wrote, “Today we played hide and seek.

NO REGRETS I HID IN THE SHOWER FOR FIVE MINUTES. Five. Whole. Minutes.

“Seriously, I don’t know why mums complain so much. I feel totally reenergised after five minutes to gather my thoughts without my boobs being grabbed at or my sleeve being pulled at or my ears being shouted in.

“Yup. A new woman.

“You see, it’s not the night feeds that I find tiring….

“It’s the mental load of motherhood. It’s the questions, the tantrums and the bloody all in one waterproof jackets.

It’s the fact that I got excited this afternoon over sitting in my shower whilst playing hide and seek because it meant that I got five minutes peace.

“And do you know what made absolutely no sense in my mind?????

I heard them looking for me. Searching. I could hear the initial excitement from them turn into mild anxiety. And as soon as I heard that shift, I had to let them know my whereabouts.

“Because as much as I long for my own space once in a while, as soon as I know that my children need me, ‘me time’ seems seriously over rated by way of comparison….

“Then again, maybe I’m so far into motherhood that I consider ‘me time’ to be hiding for five minutes sat on a cold, tiled floor in my shower…. we will never know people. We will never know.

Ps. Welcome to motherhood. It’s weird, chaotic and contradictory. You’re gunna love it.”
