Have used bi-carb and vinegar to not just make the drain smell okay, but to also unblock a drain and worked a treat. Love the idea of using on carpet to also freshen, will give it a go, thanks for the article.

i knew this, i just cleaned my stove with bicarb this morning. if its really stubborn, tea tree oil does the trick too. putting in hair is new to me.
you can make bicarb paste with water and wash your face with it, it will cleanse your face and its good for pimples too.

Whast total effect does baking soda have on your hair and scalp? I would imagine it may make it dry.

A teaspoon of bicarb in a little water, drink quick cos it tastes disgusting, will fix you indigestion

Good old and reliable baking soda – so many good uses and it is relatively cheap to purchase too.
