There’s no sugar-coating it – moving house can be super stressful. Add in juggling kids, pets and work and it’s instant headache territory. But we promise our three simple hacks will make moving day so much simpler (and hopefully less stressful!).

The key to keeping a lid on moving stress is being organised. There’s just no way around it – chaos creates more chaos! And that’s where TAXIBOX comes in. It’s moving made simple. So with TAXIBOX, and our three handy moving tips, moving day doesn’t need to be a nightmare.

3 Tips For A Stress-Free Moving Day

You’re just three tips away from the most cruisy moving day ever. Promise!

Tip 1: Be organised

1

Organisation is key when it comes to an easy, breezy moving day. Put in the effort to make sure everything is well organised and you’ll reap the rewards down the track!

Before you tackle moving, make sure you have everything handy that you’re likely to need to pack up your possessions, including:

  • Packing tape
  • Boxes
  • Sharpie to label boxes
  • Scissors
  • Stanley knife
  • Moving blankets
  • Bubble wrap

If you’re already feeling stressed just thinking about moving, beat the organisational overwhelm with TAXIBOX’s packing products. Honestly, there is nothing better than getting everything you need for moving organisation just by clicking a button! You don’t even have to think about what you need, TAXIBOX has already thought of everything!

For example, you can choose from a Bronze, Silver or Gold Pack in the Box Shop and you’ll get all of the packing supplies you need – including things like mattress covers, padlocks, Port-a-Robes and of course packing boxes. And you can have everything delivered to your door. Easy peasy.

Tip 2: Get professional help

3

If there’s anything that sets the heart racing when it comes to moving, it’s the thought of lugging all of those boxes and pieces of furniture from one house to another. Outsourcing the heavy lifting is money well spent.

TAXIBOX also offers a professional removalist service, and combined with their supremely clever mobile self storage boxes, it means everything is removed, delivered or stored and you don’t have to lift a finger. TAXIBOX will deliver a TAXIBOX to wherever you need it. Then you can hire one of their removalists to pack everything into the TAXIBOX (or you can do it yourself), and then they’ll collect and store the TAXIBOX at their facility, or deliver it straight to your new home.

And if you combine hiring a TAXIBOX and removalists you’ll save up to 50% on your moving costs. It’s a win-win!

Tip 3: Don’t feel the need to rush

This has to be one of the most important tips to making your move stress-free. You need to make sure you give yourself enough time to pack and move, without the added pressure of a ticking deadline.

And here’s where TAXIBOX really comes into its own. Once you’ve got everything packed and stored into a TAXIBOX, it can either be delivered straight to your next home OR, TAXIBOX can store your stuff. So it means you can pack at your own pace, and have everything delivered to your new address when you’re ready. It just gives you that extra time to breathe if you need it!

There are short and long-term storage options, so there’s no need to feel the dread of rushing. With a best price guarantee, you don’t have to worry about the costs. You can even get an instant quote online anytime using the quote calculator. And each TAXIBOX is 2.4m long, 2.2m high and 1.5m wide and able to be delivered to the toughest of spots.

We can just feel that moving stress melting away!

With TAXIBOX, storage comes to you, and you don’t have to worry about organising a truck or van – it’s all done for you! With fair pricing, instant quotes and booking there’s really no need to stress.

  • I detest moving. So much so that I have lived her for 35 years and at this point in time I have no plans on moving any time soon. If I was to move I know that I would book a removalist truck and I know to ;label boxes and get the beds made first.

  • I reckon if I want to move, I’d need to start organising myself a year ahead. Using time wisely, and being organised would be important. I know I am not looking forward to moving again.

  • Agree with all of the above. It’s still a huge task though and something I don’t want to have to do again.

  • There is no easy way of moving unless you don’t have a lot of gods in the first place. The worst is the big furniture. Have seen these Taxibox trailers around – bet they are not cheap!

  • I don’t move very often but this sounds like a great idea.

  • I’ve seen a few of those taxi boxes in my local area, nice when you are wanting to declutter while packing up the house.

  • If you pay money to movers, there is always a feeling of the need to rush! So better to start early and gradually move what you can yourself

    • I do not like to be hurried and rushed in any way and do plan and take the time to thoroughly prepare before any major move.

  • The first and last time I moved was 45 years ago. We just made one trip a week as it was a 5 hour trip each way. At the time we couldn’t afford to use a removalist so we just did it ourselves, filling up a trailer and the back of the car. As for this company, I’ve never heard of them before but would certainly have saved us a lot of stress at the time.

  • Great article. We’ve moved a couple of times and took it slow and steady but we’re lucky we could do it over a week.

  • Start early getting things packed and clearly label each box. I’ve done it a few times now.

  • I can’t imagine moving right now, we have so much stuff!
I need to get my culling on which will help to reduce the stress of moving when the time comes and I’ll be sure to check this service out.

  • This sounds like a good idea. I’ve always joked that if we move again, I’m going on holiday to Switzerland and my husband can deal with it.

  • I love moving its not too stressful but I rather do my own moving as I find it way better to do it myself

  • This is an interesting alternative to removalists.

I hate moving. This could be handy; going at your own pace (prioritising what needs unpacking now).
