Hello!

The search for the perfect baby bottle seems never ending, and if you’re anything like me, you’ll try a dozen before you settle on one!

So we’ve decided to help narrow down your search, by listing the five things every baby bottle needs. And we’ll be honest, it isn’t easy to find one that ticks all of these boxes (but we’ve managed to do it!).

5 Things Every Baby Bottle Should Have

3

1. A Natural Sensation: Whether you’re exclusively bottle feeding, or mixed feeding between bottle and breast, a bottle that gives a similar sensation to a mother’s breast is pretty much the pinnacle.

2. Anti Colic: A bottle that ensures smooth milk flow and helps reduce the swallowing of air when feeding is no longer a ‘nice to have’, it’s essential!

3. Right Teat: Finding the teat that is ‘just right’ for your baby can be so tricky. The teat needs to be as close to a mother’s breast as possible, with a unique shape and several openings.

4. Temperature Indicator: While it’s always advisable to check the temperature of your baby’s milk manually, a temperature indicator on a baby bottle is super handy and just gives that extra layer of assurance.

5. Sustainability: The impact of creating all of the things babies need is felt keenly by our beautiful planet, so we should be looking for baby bottles that are created sustainably, from recycled materials.

This is the baby bottle that has it all …

Drum roll please … yes, we have found the perfect baby bottle that has all five of these important features. The NUK for Nature Baby Bottle With Temperature Control.

It has been designed for supreme naturalness, with a uniquely natural feeling because the teat is modelled on a mum’s nipple.

This includes a wide and flexible lip rest and several tiny openings, just like milk ducts. The teat is available with three, six or nine tiny openings, so you can get the perfect flow for your baby.

It also boasts the NUK Anti-Colic Air System, for a natural flow.

This clever bottle also includes a temperature indicator – game changer. While it doesn’t replace checking the milk temperature manually, it’s an additional check for peace of mind.

Finally, the NUK for Nature Baby Bottle With Temperature Control supports sustainability. It’s made from 100% sustainable materials, with the teat made from sustainable silicone, and every other part is made of sustainable plastic.

All NUK for Nature products are also packaged in 100% FSC-certified paper, which can be put in the recycling bin. And everything from raw materials to manufacturing with green electricity is optimised to be climate-friendly, and reduce the carbon footprint.

We’re pretty stoked to have discovered the unicorn of baby bottles, that includes absolutely everything a great baby bottle should have!

The Mouths of Mums review community also agree … giving the bottle 4.69 out of 5 stars, based on 150+ reviews

  • Some great points here. I got mine from the RCH and they have been fab!

  • I used Closer to Nature by Tommee Tippee as they are actually the shape of a breast and have a slower milk delivery. It is best to use something like this if you are still breast feeding and only need a bottle occasionally.

  • For me, the most important one is temperature regulator, you dont want to burn bubs mouth. Most bottle warmers have heat regulators now tho

  • I have bought a few of these as a baby present.

  • bottles have come a long way over the years. All three of my kids were breastfed and when I had to express and leave a bottle it was a little hard as each child had their favourite bottle. We tried quite few with water to see what bottle the liked.

  • Things have come such a long way for baby products. I remember with my first baby we went through so many different brands of bottles to find the right fit

    • We did the same; until we found the right fit; trial and error.

  • With my first we used a Nuk bottle which was advised by the NICU team. She was 10wks early with a birth weight of 880gram and struggled drinking. Back then they didn’y come with temperature control

  • I’ll have to give this bottle a try. My almost 7 mo is yet to take a liking to bottles, and I’d love for his dad to be able to experience the bonding that comes with feeding.
