If you own a Small Business, chances are you know how important growth is without it costing the earth!

Below are 6 budget-smart tips to grow your business:

1. Revisit your foundation

Ensure you have an up-to-date vision for your business.  This provides a clear and succinct outline of the business purpose.  All marketing strategies must then align with the vision to ensure a clear message is being communicated to the audience.

2.  Revisit your social profiles

Review your social bios every 3 months to ensure they’re in line with your current business proposition.

Your profile picture must be up-to-date, professional and inspiring.

Bio’s should include: business name, product / service information, website link and an email contact.  Use keywords to ensure your message is direct.

3.  Networking

Networking within your industry is key for business growth and development. Shared knowledge, forming new connections with the potential for future arising opportunities can create whole new avenues for businesses to grow.

4.  Engage Influencers

Create a buzz about your product / service by reaching out to Social Media Influencers.

Invite them to experience your product or service.  They may be likely to share the experience with their audience and tag you on images.

Go one step further and offer the influencer a competition to run with your product / service. This will create added exposure for you!

5.  Engage the local community

Tapping into the local community can be very powerful. There’s a large focus on supporting local small businesses.  Depending on your business, run an Open Day so the community can experience your service. If you have a product, product sampling is a great way of gaining interest and exposure. 

6.  Collaborate

Team up with complimentary brands to widen your exposure. Eg: A Pilates Studio Open Day, with a Cold-pressed Juice company and Catering business to provide a ‘tasting’ to all the guests.

Advertising this through the relevant social media accounts with all involved businesses will help generate a buzz and awareness.

This is also a great opportunity to give the attendees an ‘offer’ to encourage them to use the service / product again.
