An Queensland influencer has revealed her one-year-old has been in a ‘comatose state’ for more than 100 hours, and asked her one million followers to keep little Daisy in their prayers.

Allanah Alison, better known at the.harris.familyy on Instagram and TikTok, shares the ups and downs of family life raising four children. But for the past six months she’s been searching for answers into Daisy’s deteriorating health.

“When she was born we had no idea anything was wrong,” Allanah explained.

“She was such a content baby, would sleep all day and never cry. She used to be so happy and smiley. But then we started noticing some changes. She would sleep through everything. Even entire holidays.”

She says the usually bubbly baby began sleeping up to 22 hours a day – on a good day. And as time went on, they were seeing less of her personality.

“She started becoming more blank with little to no expression. She was then diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (benign tumours in the brain causing seizures).”

The condition is a rare genetic disease that causes non-cancerous tumours to grow in the brain and on other vital organs such as the kidneys, heart, liver, eyes, lungs and skin. Tragically the family was given the diagnosis on fourth anniversary of their first daughter, Lily, passing away.

Daisy has also been diagnosed with Focal Cortical Dysplasia, Epilepsy, Infantile Spasms and Encephalopathy.

“But on-top of that the doctors are still bending over backwards trying to understand why Daisy decides to completely shut down with no response and put herself into a comatose state. Investigations are taking place and information regarding Daisy has been expedited to other hospitals around not only Australia but other counties to help find answers.”

Over the past few days, Daisy’s condition has worsened, and she has now been in a coma-like state for more than 100 hours.

“We have no idea when she will choose to wake herself up. This could be tomorrow but it could also be in six weeks, but it’s something that’s only safe for her to do herself when she’s ready.

“Even after Daisy decides to wake we will still have the long journey of trying to figure out what is causing this level of sleep and slow brain activity.”

The family has started a GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden on the family as they search for answers.

Interesting wording, it’s the question if this is a matter of the childs choice
