A quick and easy school holiday project your kids can do / help you to make.


Material

  • 1 toilet roll
  • paint, paintbrushes and a black texta
  • small lengths of coloured yarn

Method

  1. Paint the toilet roll and set aside to dy.
  2. Once dry, make small holes around the base of the roll. Thread a small length of coloured yarn through each hold and secure with a knot.
  3. Paint a face and you're done!

  • A wonderful idea. We made these into jelly fish with multiple tenticles. We then cut the bottom of the painted rolls up about 1/4 of the way into 8 legs, and curled them around a wooden spoon to make an alternate octopus design.

  • That was fun. We didn’t have any paint so we wrapped coloured paper around. We did two small ones and she had a great plan of making some BIG ones. Next she wants star fish and fish to go with them???
