A Basic but beautiful Crochet Blanket!


Material

  • 400gms Acrylic Yarn

Method

  1. Start off with a really basic Granny Square (heaps of tutorials on You Tube)
  2. Change colours as you like, you can have it all 1 colour or every row a different colour! The Options are endless!
  3. Keep going until you are happy wit the size!
    Perfect for a knee rug, baby blanket or a gift!

Notes

Such a fun, easy gift to make for yourself or friends!

  • Love this blanket. I still have one I made as a teenager from scrap bits of wool. Lots of colours and now a nostalgic piece. Like the colours you have used. I’ve been wanting to make another one, choosing colours rather than using leftover bits of wool.

    • Me too. My mother and grandma are both beautiful knitters and knit for a boutique shop. They are also fantastic with sewing and can make gowns etc. I unfortunately missed out on the gene.

  • I have made plenty of these up to queens size as well as warmer ones different to this but they are great to make in winter as you stay warm while making them

  • Oh, this reminds me of the crochet blankets we had as kids. I’ve never tried crochet, but I love the look (might give it a try this coming Winter to stop myself from reaching for the choccys)
