Playdough Recipe

Make playdough at home with this quick and easy recipe.

Material

2 cups Plain Flour
2 cups Water
1 cup Salt
1 tablespoon Cream of tartar
1 tablespoon Oil
Food colouring (optional)

Method

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat.
Continue stirring until the mixture thickens and pulls away from the sides of the saucepan
Remove from saucepan and allow to cool before use.

Notes

Store in an airtight container

Instead of food colouring you can add powdered paint which allows you to have some really amazing colours.

I always made play doh for my kids. So much better, easier and cheaper then shop bought stuff.

I’ve done playdough with and without cream of tartar, and it definitely has a nicer feel when it’s added. Not that the kids really care.
