Vintage doily bunting perfect for home, wedding or party decor.

Material

  • 4 Crocheted Doilies
  • 1 Packet bias binding
  • 1 Pair Scissors
  • 1 Sewing machine
  • Packet Pins

Method

  1. Cut your doilies in half.
  2. Arrange your doilies in preferred order (if there's different designs)
  3. Pin your bias binding over your cut edges, spacing out evenly as you go.
  4. Sew your bias binding to your doilies using a tight zig zag stitch.
  5. Hang your bunting and bask in its beauty!

Notes

You can add an element of age to your doilies by soaking in coffee overnight and then letting them dry before cutting and sewing.

  • Do you know how hard it is to actually find doilies. I have been looking everywhere, none of the op shops have any here. Does anyone know where I can buy NEW ones from.

    • I have seen them in select dollar shops

  • You can also use burlap and canvas for a vintage feel without ruining any heirlooms :) just cut in a scallop or triangle shape and follow same method :)
