Mini Blippi incoming! Children’s entertainer Stevin John, better known as Blippi, and his fiancée Alyssa Ingham have welcomed their first baby – a little boy.
Stevin announced the exciting Blippi baby news on Instagram, introducing his son, Lochlan David John. Alyssa also shared the same images, with the words, “Welcome to the world baby boy we love you so much.”
The couple announced that there was a mini Blippi on the way in October last year, and revealed they were having a boy in February.
“I’m going to be a Dad!” Stevin announced to his 280,000 followers. “Alyssa Ingham and I so excited! Parenthood coming 2022!” The pair announced their engagement in August.
Blippi first appeared on YouTube in 2014, with John’s creative, educational videos gaining a following of almost 14 million subscribers on the platform. The show now also streams on several subscription services.
John revealed a couple of years ago that he did want children of his own eventually, and touched on why he thought his show had captured the imagination of kids.
“Watching Blippi become part of children’s lives and so in turn it became a part of their families’ lives. Blippi is continuing to grow because these children really love Blippi, and now their parents are talking about it and spreading the love,” he told The Spinoff.
“I believe that children are super smart and they have good intuition. I think they can tell that Blippi is genuine and I have fun doing what I do. That’s one huge thing I have that big companies just can’t hire an actor to do.”
