Chrissy Teigen soon put a Twitter user in their place after they attempted to mum-shame her choice of ingredients in her Sunday night roast.

On Sunday evening, the pregnant mum proudly shared that she had cooked up some red wine-braised short ribs.

Not long after, someone called her out for cooking a meal with alcohol in it and potentially serving it to her 2-year-old daughter, Luna.

“Did you give ur kid a food with red wine in it?” the comment read in a now-deleted tweet.

NOTE: Studies have found that alcohol actually cooks out of food during the cooking time.

So Chrissy decided to handle the situation in her own, sarcastic way.

HAHAHA you got told!

Do you cook with wine at all?

  • Hahaha she is great at handling the over the top outrage. I love her sense of humour. My poor kids have had red wine in meals. The amount and the cooking process means it is totally fine but the Mum shamers will always have something to complain about.

  • lol man I love Chrissy – who doesn’t know that alcohol cooks and evaporates just leaving the taste?

  • Love the way she handled the criticism. I’ve cooked with wine before and served it to my children. There is no harm in it because the alcohol evaporates. It just gives the food a special flavour

  • Haha love her reply. It’s bad enough people are so quick to judge even worse they don’t know you cook the alcohol content out.

  • As you say, the alcohol burns out. People should really mind their own business.

  • Alcohol evaporates when you cook with it, so not concerning in my opinion (as if my opinion should be of any concern for Chrissy, lol).

  • I didn’t even realize there was anyone left on earth who didn’t know that you can make non alcoholic food even when you use alcohol in your cooking.

  • Hahaha good comeback Chrissy!

  • Really? We get judged for everything don’t we? What’s wrong with it? It’s be proven that the heat kills the alcohol content.

  • I’ve done this before. I know it cooks out during the cooking process

  • oh how ridiculous, the red wine no longer has any alcohol in it once it has been cooked down.

  • The longer food is cooked the more it evaporates – it depends on the meal. There is interesting food facts on alcohol and cooking it in meals.

    • I would be happy to eat that meal. 🙂

  • I’m pretty sure wine gets cooked in the food so it should be fine. Some people need to calm their farm!
