Move over kids, it’s time for the adults to have some collectible fun! Coles has revealed it’s launching a new BBQ collection, which shoppers can score for free.

Hot on the heels of Coles DC Super Heroes collectibles, the supermarket giant is releasing a range of outdoor cookware that can be redeemed with credits collected while shopping.

The Curtis Stone BBQ collection includes eight pieces designed for cooking up a storm on the barbecue this summer. It’s the first time the Michelin award winner chef has partnered with Coles for a collectible range.

From Wednesday, October 4 the collection will be available for free by earning BBQ credits. Customers will earn one BBQ credit for every $20 spent on one transaction when scanning the Flybuys card. Once you’ve saved enough credits, you’ll be able to redeem a piece from the collection.

  • I love these promotions! I buy all the bulk items I need for next few months to get as many credits as I can, little reward for being loyal to 1 supermarket chain.

  • More use than toys, but it’s annoying that they always run out before the promotion closes.

  • I much prefer practical rewards to novelty ones that get thrown out pretty quickly! Having said that Coles is not practical for us, it’s a 1 hour drive to the nearest store! 🙁

  • This looks worth it

  • Oh cool. I do love when the supermarkets have useful collectables. I’ll be all over these

  • Yes please. If the quality is as good as the MasterChef pan I got I’ll be a happy Mum.

  • I don’t know that I’d use most of this…

  • One of the better ideas that Coles has had.

  • Better than toys and maybe something we can use for a change

  • This is great! So much better than the cardboard super heroes. I’m off to do my shopping 🙂

  • So excited for this one. Can’t wait.

  • I alaways like the cookware collections !

    • My preference is for cookware promotions too. The previous ones have been terrific.

  • I think the BBQ collection is a good idea. Something different from all the other ranges that has come out. I will be saving for a few of them

  • I’m not overally excited about this promotion. Big reason is, we don’t own a BBQ. The only two things that are of an interest is the carving board and marinade dish. Other than that, nothing else is a winner. Disappointed in someways. I would be more happy with baking stuff, cookware or the storage containers. However, I will collect items to give away to friends or family or maybe charity.

  • A cookware promotion is preferred over a collectible promotion.

  • Love this. I’m a coles shopper and spend a fortune each week so can’t wait to get my hands on some utensils.

  • Not interested at all.

    Too expensive iro points required.

Besides based on past promotions, they’re likely to run out of stocks weeks well before end of promotion dateline.
Just another sales gimmicks to me to lure customers to buy more unnecessary shopping. & spending to make up the multiples if $20 just to get 1 point.

I always imagine how much extra spending of wasted $ when products are out of stock & when each transaction falls below the threshold amount of multiple of $20 in the many attempts just to get that 1 point?

Reckon Coles should run surveys to gauge what FB customers really like before running the promotion offer every year.

    • So true. One is enticed into this and when it comes to getting items you truly not in stock. So annoying ????????.
