Shoppers have been whipped into a frenzy with news that the latest supermarket collectable is just around the corner, and this time Coles is collaborating with Pokémon!

Images have started circulating on social media, revealing a Pokémon Collector’s Guide, with 35 different characters to collect. From Wednesday, February 7, shoppers will get a free Pokémon Coles Builders character with every $30 spend in one transaction, both in store and online.

The Pokémon characters are made from cardboard sourced from responsibly-managed forests, and can be recycled.

The images of the new collectables were reportedly leaked on Facebook, with shoppers already gearing themselves up for the new craze, and Facebook groups dedicated to swapping the collectables already cropping up.

It follows several collectables series from Woolworths and Coles over the past few years, including Disney, Bricks and Ooshies.
