Hello!

184 Entries

16 lucky winners will receive a copy of Em Rusciano’s fabulous new book Try Hard valued at $32.99.

Funny, feisty and fabulous, Em Rusciano’s insights into her world of mayhem, marriage and motherhood are a laugh-out-loud, cry-out-loud balm for the soul.

From her exploits at the Miss Sheila Fancypants School of Dance and her efforts to secure a solo at her end-of-year performance, to embracing the spotlight as an Australian Idol contestant and her deep and abiding love for John Farnham, Em Rusciano is a self-confessed bottomless pit of anxiety with a taste for glitter.

This all-singing, all-dancing, all-emoting, leopard-print clad warrior is fearless, fabulous and pants-wettingly funny. Her words on the page are silly and sacred, bawdy and heartfelt. The stuff of life.

Try Hard is her story.

Because she is. And she does.

  • When standing up to the doctors at the hospital who were telling me nothing about my husband’s state of health and insisting they come and tell me and his family what was going on NOW. Not only did the doctor’s come and talk to me and give us all a complete run down, they let me and the family one by one go in to see him in intensive care for a few moments. But the greatest moment was when one of his sons said, “I never thought you’d be so fierce and insist on your rights”. Seemed I earned a lot of respect that night.

  • I felt my most fabulous when I finally married the man of my dreams who i had known since I was in high school. We never got together until years later when we bumped into each other at a party. We just clicked after all of those years and soon got married.
