  • when my dad used to set up the soaker hose next to a sheet of black garden plastic, throw on dishwashing liquid and we would “slip and slide” old school style!

  • Dressing up like my mum. I thought I was the most beautiful girl in the world. I walked the neighbourhood to the beach so proudly.

  • Create a backyard water park.Setting up some slip-’n’-slides and breaking out an oscillating sprinkler will add to the water-mania effect. Get in on the fun and cool off with the kids — it’ll be easier to do in your own backyard than at that crowded water park!

  • White sand and blue skys this is summer.

  • Going to the beach with my family and eating water melon, because we were all together and having fun!

  • My favourite summer memory is of the extended family gathering at Eastern Beach Geelong, it seems to be a semi-regular thing, with lots of love, food, laughs, and lots of memories.

  • Bateman’s bay back when we were kids, free with no responsibilities in happy family times :)

  • Playing under the sprinklers for hours, water was free then, we had so much fun, many games played.

  • Sliding down the slippery dip in our back yard. We turned it into a water slide using the hose. I had a bikini that my mum had crocheted. Very 80s but the best time of my life.

  • THE BEST SUMMERS THAT I HAVE REALLY ENJOYED
WAS WITH MY WIFE AND TWO DAUGHTERS.
MY WIFE TOOK OUR GIRLS AND LEFT ME
WHILE I WAS IN HOSPITAL WITH MY FIRST STROKE.
WHEN I GOT HOME AFTER BEING DISCHARGED,
I FOUND ANOTHER FAMILY LIVING THERE,
AS MY WIFE HAD SOLD UP AND TOOK EVERYTHING,
    INCLUDING OUR DAUGHTERS, AND DISAPPEARED.
I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM NOR SEEN THEM AT ALL
    SINCE THIS HAPPENED 2001.

  • My favourite summer memory was sitting at the local beach on a hot day with my kids, partner and eating burgers with the lot and licking icecreams :)

  • Going down south away from it all and turning off my mobile and chillaxing Sleeping in for a change and having long chats with friends and family. Recharging my batteries

  • going to the drive-ins on the weekend and enjoying the summer atmosphere .

  • Christmas Holidays at the Caravan Park and Beach with my family. Mum making fresh Salad & Ham Rolls, then bringing them to the Beach across the road, spending all day swimming and snorkelling in the shallow waters, and walks to the Kiosk for Ice Cream after Lunch. Happy Memories for me.

  • Lazy summers spent around our backyard pool with my children, family & freinds having fun, relaxing & enjoying each other’s company. The best & easiest way to entertain with simple bbqs & salads outdoors. Also love long beach walks at sunset on warm nights with the family & dog.

  • Getting home from school, jumping in the car, driving to a gorgeous beach (Nelson Bay), swimming, then having hot chip bread rolls on the beach before going home. Always a great treat after a hot day at school and even hotter bus ride home.

  • My favourite summer memory is when I was younger and when it was really hot we would go to Woodmans Point and splash and play in the water with my cousins while my grandfather was getting mussels and the water was so crystal clear and shallow it was beautiful.

  • Every summer spending one week at my cousin’s house as a child. We were playing all day long outside, with his friends. I cannot believe he died of cancer last June. But those memories will always remain with me. :-)

  • Swimming until dark with all my cousins, it is my fav because i reminds me that simple things and family are the most important things in life!

  • My favourite memory od summer is at the beach with my Grand children who are in little nippers watching them compete
