  • Anne Of Green Gables! I loved the books as a child and found the movies even better!

  • I’m a love reading/watching variety but I’m big on horror so for me it is stephen king’s classic IT.

  • Matilda, I love the book and I love the movie. It’s an encouraging movie for children also!

  • Harry potter series. Its the first series that my daughter and i read together that she really loved. Then we watched the movies together. Was a great mum/daughter activity. Shes now reading the books to me again!

  • The Lord of the Rings film adaption kept the amazing characters, scenery and storyline of the book but thankfully left out most of the monotonous poetry and singing.

  • Persuasion by Jane Austen. It’s an accurate portrayal of life in Victorian England, down to candlelit (with no back up lighting) dinners, muddy roads and the harsh reality of life without flushing loos

  • We Need To Talk About Kevin, better and even more brutal than the novel, the perfect argument for my partner why we shouldn’t have kids

  • The Hours, a radical adaptation, using every tool at cinema’s disposal – cinematography, editing, score and directorial ambition to create a superior cinematic work of art

  • The Book Thief. I loved it both ways!

  • Price and Prejudice is my pick,
    The romance is fantastic!
    Twisting story lines,
    It’s simply divine.

  • Anne of Green Gables, loved the book, loved seeing the characters being brought to life…would love to see another remake!

  • The Notebook, it’s beautifully made and had a stellar cast. It truely is the epitome of all romance movies.
