The Very Good Bra launched 2018 as the world’s first, zero post-production waste bra ever.

As a breast cancer survivor, the lack of non-wired bras in natural fibres and proper bra sizes to wear during treatment, inspired founder Stephanie Devine to make my own. Now the brand makes in 28 sizes – up to an E cup and about to add F and G! – to give women the same size choices they have in conventional, wired bras.

The Very Good Bra nursing bra

The bras are made from either 100% organic cotton or Lenzing Tencel. They are not blended with spandex, a plastic, and our elastic is made from tree-rubber knitted into organic cotton.

The Very Good Bra sews with 100% cellulose thread made from trees, and the labelling is pad print using Oeko-Tex certified safe inks. In 2019, their bra was eaten in a worm farm in just 8 weeks!

They can be home composted, wormed, or just buried in soil at end of life where they will leave no negative trace. Neither will they leach micro-plastics into our oceans through a life- time of laundering.

The very good bras no leach of micro plastics is awesome. Be good replacement to have on hand for an emergency when a waiter spills Baileys on you.

No wire!! I struggle to find a well fitted bra that doesn’t have wire. And 100% organic. I’m on the bigger size in bra sizes, but since I’ve stopped breastfeeding have not been able to find a bra that’s comfy! Would love to try.

Love the sizing of this new bra, my daughter finds it hard to get a non-wire bra in an E fitting. This would be so fantastic!

that they are biodegradable so when they get holy like the rest of my lovely collection of tatty old bras they can be given back to the earth. They are also ocean friendly so I love marine life wont suffer from by boobs needing support.

I am on medication that means my body has problems regulating its temperature and I am very sensitive to fabrics that dont breathe. The Very Good Bra’s sound as if they would be awesome for me with their breathable fabric and no plastic.

Love that their organic and completely compostable! How amazing I could be doing good for the environment just buy wearing a bra and feeding my baby at the same time. That is indeed a multitask

They are beautiful but not too much. I am a sporty person and find most women’s lingerie do not have a good balance of beautiful and sporty, its one or the other. The Very Good Bra’s have both!
