Dreambaby®’s retractable safety gate continues to win awards and rave reviews for it’s clever design that saves on space and clutter.

It is also a runaway best-seller proving popular with both parents and dog owners who understand the need to protect small children and pets and also to keep them separated unless heavily supervised by adults.

A past winner of the of the iParenting Media Award www.ptpamedia.com and a recent recipient of the Seal of Approval from The Family Review Centre: (http://www.familyreviewcenter.com/reviews/display.php?display=2797) as well as numerous recommendations from Australia’s leading parenting media and blogger community, the Dreambaby® Retractable Gate has been welcomed by experts and parents alike.

Designed to fit doorways and stairways (with openings of up to 140cm), it is made with a sturdy and durable mesh barrier that winds back onto itself on the side when not is use, saving valuable space. The retraction feature also makes it easier for parents and other adults to pass on the stairs and through rooms cutting down on any tripping hazards. This gate also comes with two sets of fittings so the one gate can be used in two separate places as needed.

“This is a very popular gate,” said Carolyn Ziegler co-founder of Dreambaby® and Product Development Director for the brand. “In addition to being a top seller with parents across Australia and the US it is also popular with dog owners who want to keep their pets safe. Installing the Dreambaby® Retractable Gate is also a good way of keeping small children and dogs separated. Small children can unwittingly antagonise dogs by being over friendly and grabbing ears and fur which can lead to unfortunate repercussions including bites and frightening barking.”

The Dreambaby® Retractable Gates are UV-protected, and made with galvanized hardware, which allows the gates to be used indoors (in rooms, doorways, hallways, stairs and more) and also outside (on decks, patios and porches) in most outdoor conditions. The gate also complies with standards ASTM F1004-07.

The Dreambaby® Retractable Gate has a RRP of $94.95. To find out more about this gate, visit the Dreambaby® web site at www.dreambaby.com.au or call (02) 9386 4000 or in New Zealand, call (09) 274 8788. • Our bathroom has no door and our 11month old thinks it’s the most wonderful place to explore. This would be our answer!

  • to keep my little miracle out of all the dangerous places in the house

  • What a great way to keep little ones in a safe and secure area.

  • So, my inside dogs, dont want to ‘play’ with our new bub, and she is out of harms way

  • So far I have 3 different kinds of gates in our house and none of them look as easy to use as this Dreambaby gate. 4th time lucky perhaps??
I would love a Dreambaby to shut off my newborn’s room, since we only have sliding doors and my toddler keeps going in and “setting out outfits” all over the room for his brother!

  • I need this gate to keep my 15 month old inquisitive princess in the living area of our home rather than exploring bathrooms, the toilet, the laundry and her brothers’ bedrooms since her brothers keep leaving all of those doors open.

  • Moving into a New house with wooden stairs, this would help me keep my little men safe from falls.

  • This would be perfect for keeping my little one out of the kitchen and out of mischief!

  • Need one to keep my baby out of the bin

  • I’d like to win the Dreambaby Retractable gate to keep my 7 month old who’s about to start crawling safe because I know once he gets moving he’ll be into everything he can get to!

  • my boys are getting bigger and wiser, they can unlock our baby gate so not so safe anymore.

  • as I always say……..safety first!

  • I’d love to win this Dreambaby Retractable gate because I absolutely love the one we already have blocking our 23 month old daughter from climbin our stairs. If I won this one, it would be used to block her access to the back passage of our house where the bedrooms, toilet , laundry etc are. She has just gotten tall enough to reach door handles and is letting herself into the rooms back there and wreaking havoc!

  • Dreambaby® could make one of my dreams come true! A shower that last the full 3 minutes!!! At the moment I find it so difficult to do the things we all need to do daily without having the stress of the kids injuring themselves or being into things that are just not safe. The Dreambaby® Retractable Gate is not a baby sitter and thats not what want. I need just that little extra barrier where I don’t need those extra eyes in the back of my head to get those few extra minutes in the shower… I don’t want to be smelly anymore!

  • We have just moved in to a new place and our first day here our 18 month old turned on all of the stovetop knobs and set something that was sitting on top on fire! We have been searching for the perfect gate to fit the kitchen opening and i think this might be it 🙂

  • 5 months old and gets into & onto EVERYTHING!!!!! Unlike his older brothers who knew not to touch or go there. Help Me

  • To keep roaming hands out of the kitchen whilst i am cooking 🙂

  • I have the standard safety gates and they’re quite hard to open for a little person, you have to pull up with a good force. This gate seems effortless to open and close. Quite ergonomic also since you don’t have to swing it open.

  • Need this in our rental property to keep our very active one year old off the stairs.

  • Would be wonderful to be able enclose the baby in her room away from the new pup and still have the comfort of being able to hear and see her.
