Bonnie Lythgoe presents her biggest Australian panto yet – JACK AND THE BEANSTALK – a ‘GIANT’ 3D family panto musical spectacular at the majestic State Theatre, Sydney from Friday 12 to Sunday 21 July 2019.

We are GIVING AWAY two family passes to see Jack and the Beanstalk at Sydney’s State Theatre on 12 July 2019, 7:30pm.

The show stars Lucy Durack, Peter Rowsthorn, Jimmy Rees, Richard Reid, Luke Joslin, Anastasia Feneri, Malcolm Lord and Lachlan Dearing as ‘Jack’.

Bonnie’s magical pantos feature dazzling costumes, stunning sets, magic, some very special effects, hilarious comedy and thrilling musical numbers. JACK AND THE BEANSTALK will feature a fantastic 3D sequence that will transport audience members deep into the Giant’s castle.

  • The Princess and the Pea would be fabulous to revisit. It was my favorite fairy tales when I was little because my grandmother used to have a beautiful old book she would read to me from. I have tried to instill the same love for this tale in my daughter but the story is so hard to find nowadays. It would be a joy to share the stage show with her.


  • In school I watched Playing Beatie Bow where a young girl gets transported back into 1800s in The Rocks in Sydney. It was just an amazing Australian movie of time travel to where you see Sydney, when The Rocks was a harden slum life. This movie stuck with me and to see on Stage would be AMAZING.


  • I would love to see the Aladdin ! One of my all time favs. Would be amazing to take my kids to watch it and re-live a part of my childhood.


  • The Hungry Caterpillar. Imagine the props and the colours.


  • Number Jacks as my son loves it and learns heaps

  • The Life Of Pi, music composed by Coldplay, those magical surreal scenes, a bedazzled character, the danger, adventure and the young boy’s hope. It would be Spectacular to me.


  • Cat in the Hat. What a classic. Would be an amazing story to come to life on the stage.


  • I would love to see ‘Matilda’ on stage because my daughter and I are enjoying reading the book right now and plan on reading the whole Roald Dahl series because we just love it. It’s very captivating and we have a good laugh at parts of the story and talk about it too.


  • The faraway tree because as I child I could see myself on adventures with fanny & moonface


  • kath and Kim great Australian show loved by many and missed by a lot


  • I would love to see Star Trek live on stage!
