Ward off winter with the crackle of a warm fire and belly full of wonderful wine and delicious food this June at The Shortest Lunch.

The Shortest Lunch, presented by Yarra Valley Smaller Wineries offers a gastronomical adventure through 14 of the Valley’s boutique, family-owned wines in celebration of the Winter solstice.

22 – 23 June is the shortest weekend of the year, and a great excuse to step away from the hustle and bustle and meander between wineries; feasting on curated entrée-sized menus paired with perfectly matched wines.

There is also live music and activities for children at many of the wineries.

To celebrate we have two packages for you and three friends to indulge!

Each prize pack includes:

  • 4x Entry tickets to the Shortest Lunch event

  • Yering station and Seville! I wanted to go to yering station for my 30th but was unfortunately booked out so I would like to go to yering

  • Just wanna havea break for everything. I willbe happy in everything.

  • Yarra Valley

  • Elmswood Estate for stunning views. A sip and giggle then off to Seville Estate where I’ve heard the food is really great. Seville hill has a lovely deck with music that I wont forget. Paynes Rise is sure to be the next surprise. So much to see and do and these are just a delightful few.

  • Seville Hill looks interesting especially that they accommodate children as well with fun and games so I would like to try there

  • I live too far away to participate, but good luck to all. 🙂

  • Brumfield Winery sounds the most attractive to me as they have vegan and gf options on their menu.

  • Boat o craigo please dont say no a day with no doe
drinking wine as we dine eating paella for four would not be a chore with our kids enjoying live music we would really love to enjoy the acoustics

  • BOAT O CRAIGO would be a winner we could share dinner have a happy go lucky day we would be happy to go would be a lovely day to spend as I have never done something like this

  • I change my mind I would love to go to boat o Craigo everything sounds lovely and wonderful and we would be very happy to go to this and take a memorable walk together eating chatting and sitting and enjoying our food and wine with the kids

  • To be honest they all seem really amazing but if i had to choose one for my intinery it would be yering farm winery. To be able to have an experience would be so amazing as i have never done it before and to explore this with my mum and friends would be a dream

  • I would definitely go to Boat O’Craigo as I would love to experience beautiful wine in the stunning Healesville. It’s so serene and relaxing, and what better way to enjoy a nice glass of wine

  • I would love to go to all of them, but to choose would be Billanook estate or Sevil hill as their pork dishes sound devine. If i won I would stay an extra day and visit some of the others

  • Yering Farm Wines. As a Nana myself how can I go past the menu of home made hot apple pies like Nana used to make? The menu sounds so scrumptious, especially on a cold winter’s day in Melbourne.

  • Boat O’Craigo

  • Payne’s Rise is where you’ll find me,
Indulging in the pumpkin and sage ravioli.
Family fun day playing lawn games,
If we get cold there are plenty of fiery flames.
Payne’s Rise sounds like a perfect day,
It would be even better if we don’t have to pay!

  • I would absolutely include payne’s Rise and tokar’s estate for the incredible menu pairing to go with their beautiful wine, and of course, because id love to try mushroom truffle ragu!

  • It all looks amazing but to narrow it down: Payne’s Rise because my husband loves Pumpkin Ravioli and my 2 year old loves burgers! Lawn games sound like a lot of fun also. Badger’s Brook because the chicken burger sounds amazing. Apple pies at Yering Farm Winery sound delicious too.

  • Payne’s rise because we love chorizos and prawns absolutely love them and would be fun to go and have a tasting!
