I think I will be shattered once the kids leave home. I hate the thought!

How do you feel about one day getting the house to yourself again?

  • These are great! Would love to see the pics if one of the kids needs to move back home for a bit!

  • Pretty funny pics :)
I’ll be sad methinks although glad at the same time with a child needing extra care it means he’s going to be here longer but I can only hope that one day he’ll be capable of living an independent life.

  • It’s nice to have funny parents! :-)
I think I will be very sad when my daughter moves out. I’m used at having her around and taking care of her. But I guess that slowly I will get used.

  • Good on them they can enjoy it :)
I can imagine others have mixed feelings though.

  • It will be awhile to become an empty nester if my older children are the example. Oldest turning 37 next month and still living at home. The youngest ones are 6 years old, so at least 13 years to go at least with them. Only one child has left home for good and that was because his partner said so.

  • This is actually hilarious. At the point where I am in life I don’t ever want my child to leave home, maybe ask me when she’s a teen haha.

  • I’m happy for my kids to live with me as long as they like. I don’t have a partner though so I guess it would be different for some couples who just want to have that time alone.

  • It won’t happen for a while with toddlers…but I keep dreaming about it. Heck, I’m just dreaming about the day when I can leave them at home by themselves.

  • I had mixed emotions when my last kid moved out. I was really sad for a long time, now I’m better and can enjoy myself more

  • It makes me sad when I think of an empty house without kids. Not sure what I will do then but will miss the hustle and bustle with my kids.
