Hello!

Today I have just had 3 minor tumors removed from my face. I have been advised by the surgeon that I will now need to apply 50+ sunscreen every 2 hours.

I have used sunsense in the past.

Now I am looking for recommendations on the best easy to use non greasy sunscreen.

  • Reef is a good brand and I also like the Hamilton brand.

  • Banana boat

  • Avon has a new one that I just sampled and it wasnt greasy You can use bigbrands like bananna boat etc but we use Ombre spf 50+ and for a litre bottle its usually about $9-$10……pretty good value for the size :-)

  • I’ve had a number of skin cancers removed this year and the specialist said there are only three brands on the market that have good protection from UVA and UVB. The only one I can remember is Sun Sense. It is the only one I buy and you can only get it from the chemist.

  • Avon have just released two new 50 plus sunscreens which are suitable for very sensitive skin.

  • I was told that the cancer council range is about the only one without nano particles….whatever they means! I also buy my sunglasses there!!

  • Banana boat sensitive or sun smart has a new one for sensitive skin too

  • The brand Shiseido from Terry White Chemist has the best facial sunscreen.

  • I also use Sunsense my skin Dr told me it had titanium dioxide in it that protects your skin from the uv and UVA rays. They also have a tinted face cream which is great. The damage was done years ago when we were young and “stupid” and baked ourselves. Good luck

  • neutrogena is fantastic and also NeoSkin sunscreen

  • Talk with the doctor or chemist and they might be able to steer you in the right direction

  • Ella bache faces is awesome they also do a zinc that’s fantastic it goes on like foundation

  • I use invisible zinc. But….I have now been told I have a vitD deficiency! So watch that. I now have to take supplements!

  • I found the Aldi 50+ to absolutely awesome!!!! I have a family with extremely sensitive skin, and this sunscreen works beautifully. It’s non greasy (a huge plus for me!), and is inexpensive (so perfect for buying bulk, seeing as though you’ll be applying it every 2 hours). I hope you find something that works for you :)

  • Nivea, neutrogena etc have some decent, less oily ones :)

  • If it were me, I’d go with the stuff made for babies, it’s designed to be as gentle as possible.

  • Stick to sun sense. It’s the best on the market. Reasonably price as well.

  • Neautrogena have just come out with a non-greasy 50+ sunscreen that I trialled a few months ago. It doesn’t leave the skin feeling oily, you can use it on your face, it doesn’t smell ‘sunscreeny’, but has a tropical scent to it. It absorbs really well too.

They now have “Neutrogena Sport Face” as well, which is specifically designed to not clog the pores of your skin on your face. Might be worth having a look at.

  • Have you heard of environ skin care range it was recommended by our plastic surgeon as my father died of malenoma and it thickens your skin, and they have a great sunscreen for the face called rad google it. The range is quite expensive bit beats skin cancer. I use cancer council on the body

  • We use Aldi’s now it’s excellent
