Hello!

They are on both of my feet and up to my calves, they seem to be spreading, not sure how to make them go away, they are very noticeable, especially when I don’t wear shoes :-/

  • alas only dying LOL

  • I found lemon juice dried my skin too much so I would need to put moisturiser on liberally at least 3 times a day.

  • Could try talking to the Chemist as three full of information

  • try lemon juice. I’ve heard this is a great way to lighten uneven skin tones. You could also try a fake tan to even it all out and make it less visible. good luck :-)

  • lemon juice can help fade them. there are skin lightener creams as well that claim to reduce the appearance of age spots.

  • following this too as I have the same problem, thanks to NO1LADYDJ for your answer.

  • Not really!

  • Thank you so much NO1LADYDJ I will give it a go!! Really appreciate the advice :-)

  • Even though you’ve found out that they’re not “age spots”, you may still find that there are some creams or lotions that will help to minimize their appearance. And there are “home remedies” that work as well or better than commercially available products (and they’re usually a hell of a lot cheaper too). Mix lemon juice with apple cider vinegar and sugar. Apply on your legs and gently scrub it for 8-10 minutes. Then wash with cold water and pat dry with a clean towel. Or you can mix few drops of apple cider vinegar in water while taking a bath. You can also wash your legs with cider vinegar once a day regularly. Apple cider vinegar promotes new skin growth, takes out dead skin cells and reduces the appearance of aging spots.

  • Aging is hard ,if ur aging spots get sore etc maybe seek info from pharmacist ,they are up to date with items that might help

  • Thanks for coming back in an letting us know.

  • Thank you ladies, good news, they are not age spots, bad news, it a pigmentation of my skin from standing for long periods of time, can take medication but it won’t go away, just slow it down a little. Appreciate your advise :-)

  • Sure they’re not freckles? Seems odd to have them on your feet/legs but not on your face or hands if you’re at the age they generally start appearing. Having them frozen off by a GP could be time consuming if you have heaps so maybe trying some age spot creams first could be worthwhile. Maybe get a GP to have a look and make suggestions too?

  • Unfortunately it all the years of sun exposure that’s catching up with you. Damage is now done. Ask to see a dermatologist regarding treatment options. Really important to apply sunblock daily to help reduce further damage. Moisturising makes them feel smoother.

  • Age spots are caused by to much sun exposure. You can have them frozen or have laser treatment. There are creams from the chemist and there are a lot of natural home ingredients to apply.. eg lemon as lemon bleaches them. Good old google has the answers you seek and in the mean time remember to apply sunscreen to prevent more from popping up and good old sunscreen also protects from skin cancer as well. All the best to you. :-)
