  • they look cool, but I am a fan of a cool damp facewasher and bonjella…. it is a buggar of a time for all babies Mine chewed my fingers, toys (also refrigerated) Trust your judgement love, you know your baby best x

  • I don’t believe they work as I’m skeptical about the ‘science’ behind it plus it’s a choking hazard.

  • To start with I wasn’t too sure about them and then I put the necklace on my daughter who is now 15 months, and didn’t notice much difference if they were working or not but I decided to take it off for a couple of days to see if anything changed and I realised they do help in some way as I put them back on and less whinging from bub!!
    Hope this helps.
I got mine off ebay from a genuine company.
    Goodluck!

  • I don’t think amber beads did anything for my bub!

  • For us it did nothing but I have friends that swear by them so I say they are wont a go and if it saves having to give pain killers all the better

  • there are some good comments here

  • my dughter used it and it seem to work

  • i don’t believe in those

  • I tried and found no change. My son has never been a dribbler so saw no change really. I have friends that swear by them but also tried on my older girl 4 for eczema and no help. My sister uses them for herself for inflammation and thinks it works but I’m not convinced. Don’t waste your money.

  • I didn’t use the beads but have only heard negative comments, I did use bonjella, Panadol and nurafen and teething toys. Also putting a face washer in the freezer for a little while is good for them to chew on too, depending on age. Check with your chemist what they think is ok as to regards to how often you use it. I found that I only needed it for a week roughly for each teething episode.

  • Frankly I have no idea whether they work or not. My BIGGER fear would be the choking hazard.

  • My sister swears by them uses them for her twins

  • Teething ring is really help for my son. I haven’t try amber beads for my son.

  • Yes. They work really well.

  • I think they are a placebo for parents lol

  • I don’t think these were around when my 10 year old was teething so I can’t say whether they worked or not. On the days that she was really bad I used to give her Brauer’s Teething Relief, she hated Bonjella so that wasn’t really an option and didn’t have a dummy so I couldn’t even put the Bonjella on a dummy to help! I’m a bit concerned with the amber necklaces being a choking hazard but have seen amber bracelets used instead of the necklaces, maybe give them a try instead?

  • I got given an amber necklace and used it with my daughter. However it broke as she was taking it out of her mouth. Luckily there was none in her mouth and I noticed immediately and picked them all up. It was from a recommended amber necklace brand too so wasn’t a cheap one. I would be cautious if you are going to use one make sure you are constantly monitoring your child. I didn’t get to use it with her enough to know if it was any good or not but of course avoided them after this incident.

  • personally, I feel uncomfortable every time I see a small child with tight beads on their neck. 1) it’s a chokinhg hazard 2) it’s a strangulation hazard.

  • I have heard of them working but I really worry about the chocking hazard

  • I don’t use them as I am too concerned about the risks associated with them but I have friends that swear by them. I think like everything else it depends on the child. If you do get them make sure it is a proper safety guaranteed one as some are not and can break and leave the beads loose for baby to choke on. The safety ones have the beads actually attached to the band so if it breaks they can’t come off. Also make sure bubs doesn’t sleep with it on as its been associated with SIDS and breathing restriction deaths. Bonjela works well for my kids.
